Deaver has questions for Sen. Carper

May 24, 2018

The following is an open letter to Sen. Tom Carper:

I am concerned about your message: "Why I'm Running."

You could be a wonderful senator for us if you're re-elected and working with the president on major issues such as affordable and economically sound healthcare insurance for all our citizens who need it.

I do remember that you were in favor of the TPP plan. It gives much of our voting and decision-making power over to international corporations. So then you may be for globalism, and not in favor of restoring and building our country's economic and military strength as we are doing now.

Globalism would mean more tearing down our nation and giving control to the bankers who would run the world. I pray to God that never happens. We have already given the bankers the uncontrolled right to charge outrageous interest and the Federal Reserve.

Joan Deaver
Sussex County Councilwoman, Ret.
