Delaware Arts Alliance seeks community engagement captains
The Delaware Arts Alliance seeks to contract with multiple community engagement captains to support the research and development of Delaware’s Creative Economy and Cultural Tourism Recovery and Growth Plan.
This part-time position runs through December 2023.
The effort will engage hundreds of Delawareans to produce a shared vision and advocacy tools for advancing the state’s creative economy. The initiative will identify the common goals among local creators and industry leaders to ensure a healthy and growing local creative industry that reflects the depth and diversity of Delaware.
DAA’s immediate goal is to deeply engage with artists and creatives statewide through a comprehensive survey and focus groups to deconstruct the challenges local artists, creative businesses and nonprofits face in a post-pandemic economic recovery world.
Ideal candidates possesses the following assets: deep connections with one or more stakeholder groups representing diverse parts of Delaware’s creative economy; dependable, detail-oriented ambassadors with excellent follow-through skills; strong ability to execute community engagement activities like hosting focus groups and community meetings that will deliver key data and guide the development of this research-backed plan; skilled communicators able to convene and listen to diverse constituencies.
