Delaware Hospice virtual bereavement groups to start June 9

June 4, 2020

Delaware Hospice recently announced it will offer virtual bereavement groups and workshops.

Counselors with a depth of knowledge lead all of Delaware Hospice’s bereavement groups and workshops on the grieving process. They offer professional and personal understanding that grieving is not a one-and-done event but more of a journey that will have its successes and difficulties.

A focus has been determined for each virtual bereavement group and workshop. Each meeting will work toward expanding participants’ acceptance of feelings, education on coping skills and knowledge that they are not on this journey alone. Options include grief groups, self-care book groups, monthly drop-in groups, weekly drop-in groups, loss of a spouse or life partner group for all ages, and monthly care and share support groups.

The format and length of each group varies, so there is a right group for everyone regardless of which stage of grief they are currently experiencing. As always, Delaware Hospice bereavement groups, including virtual ones, are free and open to the community.
