Delaware House District 20 candidates to discuss topics at Oct. 15 forum
The League of Women Voters of Sussex County Delaware will host a candidates forum from 7 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 15, at Milton Elementary School, 512 Federal St., Milton.
Democratic incumbent Rep. Stell Parker Selby and Republican Dr. Nikki Miller will field questions from the audience during a public forum moderated by Margaret LaFond.
The 20th District covers the Lewes and Milton area. Elected for a two-year term, Delaware state representatives introduce and vote on proposed legislation, approve the annual state budget and serve on assigned committees.
Voters can find their representative district numbers on their Delaware polling place card or by entering their address at vote411.org, the League of Women Voters’ online guide.
The league encourages attendees to bring written questions, legibly printed on a 3-by-5-inch card. Note cards and pencils for posing questions will also be available at the door and from monitors in the aisles throughout the program. ASL Connections will provide sign language interpretation. The forum will also be livestreamed at youtube.com@leagueofwomenvoterssussex2638.
