Delaware Humane supporters enjoy plant nite fundraiser

April 23, 2019

More than 30 supporters of the Delaware Humane Association’s Rehoboth Adoption Center planted unique succulent container gardens at a plant nite fundraiser held April 9 at Big Oyster Brewery in Lewes.

This fun-filled evening of fellowship, food and libations raised $800 to support homeless pets and DHA’s mission of connecting people with animals while building strong relationships with the community.

The center, located in Midway, houses, feeds and lovingly cares for adoptable cats and dogs as they wait for their forever homes. Staff and volunteers assist with animal care including walking dogs, cleaning kennels and crates, and socializing both cats and dogs.

To volunteer, go to www.delawarehumane.org or stop by the center. Donations can be sent to DHA Rehoboth Adoption Center, 18675 Coastal Highway, Suite 8, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971. DHA is open from 12 to 6 pm., Monday, Tuesday and Friday; and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m, Saturday and Sunday; closed Thursdays. Donations of wet cat food, cat litter and paper towels are especially appreciated.
