Delaware Junction will hit the stage Aug. 14 in Harrington
Jason Aldean, Toby Keith and Florida Georgia Line are among the country music act that will come to Kent County Aug. 14-16 for the inaugural Delaware Junction country music and camping festival at the Delaware State Fairgrounds in Harrington. The festival will also feature names such as Colt Ford, Courtney Cole, David Fanning, JT Hodges, Joey Hyde, The Swon Brothers, Thomas Rhett and Ruthie Collins, among many others.
Besides music, the festival will also offer rides - including Vertigo Swing and a giant water slide. Grab your friends and join in the fun at a foam party with DJ in the foam pit, and enjoy a Late Night From Nashville with Dee Jay Silver. The Malibu Rum Beach House and Bud Light Beer Garden will also be open during the festival. For those who camp, a themed campsite contest will be held.
Festival gates will open at 1 p.m. each day. End times will vary. The box office will be open from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, and will be open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14 through Sunday, Aug. 16.
Camping passes at Harrington Fields is available in a variety of tiers, including car passes ($150), RV camping ($225-$650, depending on the size) and $60 for overnight parking for extra vehicles (limited).
Pass prices start at $199 for the three-day general admission pass. Single-day passes are not available. Children under 6 will be admitted free. A Rail Lounge VIP Experience pass is $349, and The Diamond VIP Experience pass is $799. DelDOT issues traffic advisory
The Delaware Department of Transportation, in coordination with the City of Harrington Police and Delaware State Police, will monitor traffic in and around the Harrington vicinity to ensure safe travel for motorists. There will be lane closures along U.S. Route 13 similar to the Delaware State Fair.
Motorists can expect minor delays in this area for the four days of the festival. The campgrounds will open the morning of Thursday, Aug. 13, through noon Monday, Aug. 17. The gates will open each day at noon, with ending times varying each night. Motorists can adjust their routes or travel times by using DelDOT’s smartphone app. The app is available and can be downloaded free at the Google Play and Apple store, search for DelDOT.
