The National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association has recognized Delmarva Christian Athletic Director Jim Berger as a certified athletic administrator.

NIAAA spokesperson Mike Blackburn said, “To earn this distinction, Jim has demonstrated the highest level of knowledge and expertise in the field of interscholastic athletic administration. The voluntary certification process included a thorough evaluation of the candidate's educational background, experience and professional contributions, as well as a rigorous, comprehensive written examination.”

The NIAAA further cites Berger as one of an elite group of interscholastic athletic administrators nationwide to attain this level of professionalism.

"I am very excited about the educational-based athletic opportunities that exist at Delmarva Christian Schools," said Berger. "The NIAAA certification process has been a tremendous help in building a foundation for my professional development as an athletic director. My desire is to continue furthering my development as an educational professional while building an athletic program that is safe and enjoyable for our DCS student-athletes and community."
