Delmarva Christian hockey gets grounded by the Eagles 9-0
The Delmarva Christian field hockey team ran into a buzz saw Oct.10 as the visiting Holly Grove squad scored three goals in the first half and doubled that in the second half, downing the Royals 9-0. The Royals move to 2-7 on the season.
The Eagles took 32 shots on the Royals goal. Delmarva Christian keeper Mara Agapito stopped 21 Eagles attempts. The Royals took just one shot in the contest.
The Royals travel to Worcester Prep Friday, Oct. 12, to take on the Mallards.

A Delaware native, Dan graduated from Cape in 1972 and returned as a teacher and coach in the 1980s. He retired from the classroom in 2016. He was inducted into Cape High’s Legends Stadium in 2016. In his spare time, Dan enjoys spending time with his wife, two sons, grandchildren and dogs.
