Delmarva Christian holds student scholarship banquet

October 27, 2015

Delmarva Christian Schools held their 14th Annual Student Scholarship Banquet Oct. 9 at Delmarva Christian High School’s Arts and Athletic Center in Georgetown.

In addition to a night of great dining, a silent auction, wonderful fellowship and engaging entertainment provided by DCS students, the evening culminated in a message delivered by former Philadelphia Eagles player and current team chaplain the Rev. Dr. Herbert H. Lusk II. Early in his career and at God’s leading, Lusk voluntarily left the Eagles to begin a ministry that has met the spiritual and physical needs of the impoverished of Philadelphia.

The DCS Scholarship Banquet serves to raise money for students desiring a Christian education at Delmarva Christian High School and Delmarva Christian Schools - Eagle’s Nest Campus. Without these scholarships, these students would not have the financial resources necessary to attend these schools. To date, funds raised from this year’s banquet have topped $120,000.

Committed to excellence, Delmarva Christian Schools offers non-denominational, Christ-centered educational opportunities to students from Pre-K through 8th grade in Milton and from 9th through 12th grade in Georgetown. The mission of Delmarva Christian Schools is to proclaim the gospel by preparing students spiritually, academically, and physically to know and do God’s will in their lives.
