Delmarva Christian School welcomes new faculty, staff

Delmarva Christian School announced the addition of seven new faculty members for the 2025-26 school year.

Each educator brings a unique set of skills, experiences and testimonies, and all are united by a passion for Christ-centered education and a commitment to investing in the lives of students.

Angelie Rhoda, grade two, earned her bachelor’s degree in education from Wilmington University with a minor in special education. With experience in early childhood and elementary classrooms, she brings a passion for creating safe, supportive learning environments and a heart for mentoring children.

Allison Brown, middle school English, earned her master of education degree in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in teacher leadership from Regent University. She has more than nine years of classroom teaching experience across elementary and middle school levels. Having previously taught at Delmarva Christian, she returns with a passion for strong instruction, effective classroom leadership and Christ-centered education.

Kelli Cooper, high school English, holds a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in psychology and human development from the University of Tennessee. With more than 15 years of classroom experience across middle and high school levels — including honors and college-prep courses — she now brings her passion for literature, writing and student growth to Delmarva Christian.

Karen Mohammadioun, high school math, holds a master of science degree in mathematics education from Walden University and a bachelor of science degree in mathematics education from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. With over 15 years of experience teaching algebra, geometry, trigonometry and precalculus at Pocomoke High School in Maryland, she brings both expertise and a heart for students to her new role at Delmarva Christian.

Gamalier Colón, high school Spanish, earned his bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences from Wilmington University and brings extensive experience in student support, leadership and classroom management. He combines his passion for language, his bilingual fluency and his commitment to Christ-centered education to inspire students to grow academically and spiritually.

Pat Woods, strength and conditioning, holds a bachelor’s degree in sport management with a minor in business administration from Wesley College. Woods brings extensive experience in education, ministry and athletics. As the founder of Factory Sports and a longtime basketball coach, he now joins Delmarva Christian, combining his passion for faith, leadership and sports to invest in the next generation.

Jake Smith, high school Bible course instructor, is a recent graduate of Lancaster Bible College with a degree in youth and young adult ministry, a minor in pastoral ministry, and a certificate in biblical studies and theology. With hands-on ministry experience at Grace Church in Milton and Lancaster Alliance Church in Pennsylvania, he brings a passion for discipling young people and fostering spiritual growth to his new role at Delmarva Christian.
