Delmarva Christian Schools hold gatherings for day of student prayer

October 13, 2022

Along with local leaders and first responders, students at Delmarva Christian Schools in grades pre-K through 12 met Sept. 28 at the flagpole on each campus to pray and sing praise during See You at the Pole.

The annual day of student prayer is held the fourth Wednesday of September each year. This year’s national theme, Aflame, is based on the scripture verse Romans 12:11-12. Traditionally organized and executed by students, the event at the high school was led by members of the Student Leadership Council. Members of the student body at each campus prayed for the health of the nation, government and local leaders, as well as the Delmarva Christian community and Sussex County.

“The most exciting part about See You at the Pole was being able to unite nearly 250 people together at the high school to have fellowship with each other, and have communal fellowship with our creator,” said Christian Hodges, DCHS Student Leadership Council Spiritual Committee leader.

Endeavoring to mature young people to be biblically minded, well-educated, critical thinkers as they seek to discover their life calling, Delmarva Christian Schools is a nondenominational school providing an excellent Christian education to students ages 6 weeks old through grade 12.
