Delmarva Christian students explore personal strengths in workshop

November 14, 2021

Delmarva Christian High School, a nondenominational Christian school, recently dedicated several academic days to discovering personal strengths through CoreClarity workshops.

Jessica Hain from the Fulcrum Center visited with juniors and staff to focus on each individual’s combination of talents. The goal was to lead each student and staff member to superior insights, awareness, and ultimately, performance.

“When it comes to engaging with students, it is powerful to have a shared language. CoreClarity will help build a common vernacular between us and our students as we can walk with them on their journey of discovering their strengths,” said Matt Kwiatkowski, DCS head of schools.

Students in their junior year at DCHS take a course in Biblical Life Calling, and part of that curriculum is spent on having students discover their God-given unique design. The CoreClarity workshop was utilized in order to complement the conversations happening in the classroom and build on each individual student’s journey.

“In the BLC course, we try to put pieces of the puzzle together in order to make sense of how God is shaping students and preparing them to fulfill their life purpose. The goal is that students will appreciate how God has made them, and that by focusing on their strengths, they will move closer to the center of God's will for their lives,” said Dr. Craig Taylor, DCHS teacher.

Delmarva Christian Schools provides excellent Christian education to students in grades nine through 12 at the high school in Georgetown, and from young toddlers through eighth grade in Milton.
