Delmarva Power donates to workplace readiness initiative

Delmarva Power is helping local Delaware middle and high school students prepare for the workplace through a $24,000 grant to Junior Achievement of Delaware’s Work Readiness Initiative.

The initiative provides a hands-on education and workplace engagement program that is empowering the next generation of workers and exposing them to a variety of career opportunities and experiences. Delmarva Power has donated more than $300,000 to Junior Achievement programs in Delaware over the last 10 years and nearly $2 million to workforce development programs in Delaware since becoming part of the Exelon family of companies in 2016.

Delmarva Power provides safe and reliable energy service to approximately 527,000 electric customers in Delaware and Maryland, and approximately 134,000 natural gas customers in northern Delaware.
