Delmarva Rush soccer camp returns to Sandhill Fields

June 24, 2025

The Delmarva Rush soccer camp made its first charge of the summer at Sandhilll Fields June 16-20, when former Cape standout and Rush camp coordinator Jeremy Hurd led his staff to elevate the game to 23 up-and-coming players.

The camp improves players' technical and tactical skills, honing their prowess in dribbling, passing, shooting, offensive and defensive play.

The campers’ day begins with group introductions warmups, and moves to technical skills and ball mastery. Each day, the group focuses on a different skill of dribbling, ball control, passing, receiving, settling, crossing or finishing. The day concludes with full-field scrimmages.

"I enjoy camp because it gives me time to do something I like after the season is over,” said camper Wyatt Hertiage. “It gives me a chance to meet people I normally might not get to meet. Coach Jeremy is very fun and is a great coach. He teaches us a lot."

"We had a great week,” said Hurd. “I've been involved in organizing and coaching these camps for years, and each time, I enjoy it. These kids brought the enthusiasm and passion this week. I always want them to take something positive away with them. Whether it's learning a new skill, making a new friend or accomplishing a personal goal.”

Delmarva Rush offers two more camps this summer, set for July 14-18 and Aug. 4-8, each held at Sandhill Fields. For more information, go to https://www.delmarvarush.com/summer-camps.
