State health officials ramp up COVID-19 testing throughout Delaware

As state health officials ramp up COVID-19 testing, Delaware Emergency Management Agency and Delaware Army National Guard have teamed up to provide saliva testing at sites throughout the state. State officials plan to conduct 80,000 tests each month.
On June 2, nearly 750 people administered self tests during a drive-through event at Beacon Middle School near Lewes. After a Washington, D.C. lab analyzes the tests, results will be emailed to participants.
After taking the test, drivers drop off the containers to be forwarded to a lab.
National Guard members are ready to assist drivers taking drive-through tests.
