The Village Improvement Association assembled a team of 14 talented designers from around the region to transform a 1960s beach house into an inspirational showcase of imaginative decorating.
The Designer Show House 2016 will be held Thursdays through Sundays in May. The dates are May 5-8, 12-15, and 19-22, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The house is located at 52 Rolling Road in Henlopen Acres. Each room is spacious, including living room, dining room, family room, sunroom, master bedroom, three other bedrooms, kitchen, and library. Every room and outdoor space was designed and decorated by an interior designer or landscape designer.
The Boutique and Garden Shoppe features items for the home and garden from the interior and landscape designers. Many of the items displayed in the rooms and gardens are also available for purchase.
Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online. Group tour tickets with an optional lunch are available for groups of four or more Thursday, May 12 and 19. For more information on group tickets go to designershowhouse.org.
