After being canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic, Dewey Goes Pink roared back in 2021, with more than 3,400 participants raising $235,000 for the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition.
Dewey Goes Pink founders Steve “Monty” Montgomery of The Starboard, where the event is held each October, and Adam Howard of the Body Shop presented the donation to DBCC officials Dec. 7.
“Our 10-year total now is just shy of $1 million donated to this great organization, at $963,000,” Montgomery said. “We look forward to surpassing the million-dollar mark for the DBCC next year at the 11th annual Dewey Goes Pink on Oct. 8.”
