Dewey Lions golf event scores $10K for Beebe foundation

The annual Dewey Beach Lions Club Foundation Golf Classic was held Sept. 22 at the Rookery. Attendees enjoyed great weather, food, beverages and golf.

Many thanks go out to all sponsors, volunteers and participants. With their support and efforts, the event raised enough funds to meet the foundation’s annual commitment of $10,000 to Beebe Medical Foundation Women's and Children's Health.

The Dewey Beach Lions Club was founded March 16, 1951. With a dynamic history, Lions are best known for fighting blindness, but they also award scholarships and volunteer for many different kinds of community projects including caring for the environment, feeding the hungry, and aiding seniors and the disabled.
