DHA celebrates completed renovation in Rehoboth
The Delaware Humane Association celebrated the completed renovation of its Rehoboth Beach adoption center April 1. The DHA first opened its Midway location in August 2017.
The renovations were done with the animals in mind. For the dogs, neutral colors, smaller kennel rooms and other modifications help keep them from being any more agitated than needed. A small, fenced-in area behind the adoption center has also been installed for the dogs. For the cats, an innovative air circulation system keeps fresh air moving in the isolation cages.
The renovation is complete, but the center is still operating by appointment only. Interested parties can visit delawarehumane.org and complete an online adoption application. Adoption counselors will review each submission and reach out directly to schedule socially distant appointments.
