Diabetes coalition to host wellness expo Nov. 5
The 23rd Annual Wellness Expo hosted by the Delaware Diabetes Coalition will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 5, in the Bayhealth Conference Center at Blue Hen, 665 Bay Road, Unit A, Dover.
This event is free to the public. A free box lunch catered by the Food Bank of Delaware Culinary School will be provided. Desserts available for purchase will benefit the culinary school.
The expo brings together healthcare providers, businesses, diabetes-related organizations and others to promote diabetes self-management and healthier lifestyles for people with diabetes. It will include more than 35 exhibitors and health screeners, and an educationally packed program presented by community health leaders. Attendees will leave better equipped to manage their diabetes.
Highlights include a keynote presentation on Grief, Mourning, Change and a Diagnosis of Diabetes, presented by Nancy Gugerty of Nemours.

The Delaware Diabetes Coalition is a statewide nonprofit organization comprising a network of healthcare organizations working together to improve the lives of all people in Delaware affected by diabetes through awareness, prevention, identification, advocacy and dissemination of services.
