December 7, 2022

Dogfish Head will host the presentation party for its 20th annual poetry prize at 6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 10, at the brewery’s Tasting Room 511 Chestnut St., Milton.

Readings will be given by Susan Rothbard of New Jersey and Anne Yarbrough of Delaware prior to the announcement of the 2022 winner.

Rothbard was the 2020 winner for her manuscript, “Birds of New Jersey;” and Yarbrough was the 2021 winner for her manuscript, “Refinery.” Copies of their books, along with the 2022 winner’s book, will be available for purchase at the party.

The party will also mark the contest’s conclusion after a 20-year run. The contest started as a prize for a chapbook written by a poet on Delmarva and expanded to a full-length collection by poets living in nine states and the District of Columbia.

Light food and beverage will be provided by Dogfish Head.
