Dogfish Head hosts Punkin Ale Fest

Dogfish Head in Milton officially rang in the fall season with the annual Punkin Ale Fest, a celebration of Dogfish’s signature fall beer, Punkin Ale, to benefit Brandywine Valley SPCA.
The Oct. 11 event featured food trucks, live music, a vendor tent, dogs available for adoption through the SPCA and, of course, Punkin Ale.
Bryanna Evans, a volunteer with Brandywine Valley SPCA, is all smiles with Christina, a 1-year-old Rottweiler mix whose full name is Christina Waguilera.

Live music is provided by Dover-based band Trailer Park Casanovas.
Among the vendors and artisans inside the vendor tent is Alan Mackenzie of Milton-based Glas-Glow Atelier, who creates handmade sculptures from glassware such as Dogfish Head beer bottles.

Ryan Mavity covers Milton and the court system. He is married to Rachel Swick Mavity and has two kids, Alex and Jane. Ryan started with the Cape Gazette all the way back in February 2007, previously covering the City of Rehoboth Beach. A native of Easton, Md. and graduate of Towson University, Ryan enjoys watching the Baltimore Ravens, Washington Capitals and Baltimore Orioles in his spare time.
