Don Schlater joins Berkshire Hathaway Gallo Realty
Don Schlater recently joined Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Gallo Realty as a sales associate in its Lewes office. The announcement was made by Andrew Ratner, vice president of BHHS Gallo Realty.
Schlater will be concentrating on residential real estate sales in the resort region and beyond. Graduating with a bachelor of science degree in education from Millersville University in Millersville, Pa., he went on to obtain two master’s degrees in education technology and education administration. As a full-time resident and middle school teacher in Lewes since 1993, Schlater calls Sussex County his true home. He and his wife Lisa have raised their three children here and take full advantage of all that life at the beach has to offer.
"Our community is both beautiful by nature and by the people that inhabit it, and I look forward to helping the new people that I meet in a different capacity. Translating my teaching skills to the field of real estate will be advantageous to me and a benefit to my customers and clients," noted Schlater.
Ratner added, "Don is inherently a true teacher, who ensures that the 'i's' are dotted and the 't's' are crossed, so I have confidence that he will educate himself and his clients on all matters throughout his transactions. Additionally, as a teacher, his interest is in serving others, which is our intent here at BHHS Gallo: to help our clients to achieve their dreams of home and property ownership."
When not teaching or enjoying the beach with his family and friends, Schlater enjoys fishing, woodworking, and singing and playing guitar in his bands Carbon 14 and Press Play. Both bands plays at numerous local eateries and brewpubs in the area.
