VIA donates to Delaware Hospice Katybug Pediatric program

January 10, 2021

Thanks to VIA, warm snuggles in hand-knitted blankets and hats will comfort children in the Delaware Hospice Katybug pediatric program.

The caregiving program works with sick children up to 18 years old who are in need of hospice care. The Caring Stitchers of the Village Improvement Association of Rehoboth Beach made and donated the knitwear for these children.

Peggy Dolby, state coordinator of the Katybug program, accepted the items along with checks from the VIA for the children’s greatest needs.

Ann Sebastian, VIA president, who has selected children’s cancer as the special project for her two-year term, thanks all who continue to be involved with this ongoing worthwhile project.

The VIA is a women’s civic and charitable organization whose members have been making enduring personal and financial contributions to the town of Rehoboth Beach and surrounding communities for more than 100 years.

The organization is a member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs and the Delaware State Federation of Women’s Clubs.
