Dove Knoll home damaged by fire

A fire Nov. 13 caused $100,000 in damage to a Dove Knoll home.

Firefighters responded to the home about 8 a.m. at 29 Dove Knoll Drive, in the Midway area of Route 1, officials said. It took about 2 1/2 hours for firefighters from Rehoboth Beach and Lewes to contain the blaze. The fire originated in the attic of an attached garage and was caused by an electrical malfunction, said Michael Chionchio, assistant state fire marshal.

The fire caused $100,000 in damage to the home, he said, and no one was injured.
