Dover Downs to feature Arnel Pineda and Bamboo pop rock concert Oct. 10

September 16, 2021

Arnel Pineda, lead singer of Journey, and Pinoy rockstar Bamboo will perform a pop rock concert together on one stage at 4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 10, at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino.

Arnel was a lead singer for various bands and club acts in the Philippines in the late 1980s and 1990s. He was chosen as Journey’s lead singer in 2007, and he recaptures the emotional tenor voice of Steve Perry. Journey once again is in the crescent of fame as one of the most enduring pop-rock bands in the music industry.

A Filipino-American musician and singer-songwriter, the artist now known as Bamboo began his career as a vocalist and original frontman of Rivermaya and later fronted his own group, called Bamboo, which disbanded in 2011.

Bamboo is famous for his vocals, which combine a rock style with a mellow approach, and his energetic style in live performances.

Together for the first time in the U.S., these two rock icons will come together to recapture a live pop-rock concert experience in seven cities – Las Vegas, San Diego, San Jose, Anaheim, Seattle, Atlantic City, and Dover.

Ticket prices range from $78 to $128. To purchase tickets, call 562-832-4959 or go to ticketweb.com.
