Duffle Bags and More benefits from Matt’s Fish Camp fundraiser

May 22, 2024

Matt’s Fish Camp in Lewes sponsored a dine and donate event to support local nonprofit Duffle Bags and More Inc., whose members sew and deliver bags of necessities to children in foster care throughout Delaware’s three counties, and to girls and women in need in Sussex County.

Matt’s donated 10% of the day’s proceeds to the organization. Board members and sew-in volunteers function solely on donations and selling toiletry bags to offset the cost of supplies.

Debbie Fratella, board president, said, “This is a very generous donation from Matt’s Fish Camp, and it will allow us to purchase fabric and materials so our volunteers can start sewing and creating duffle bags and toiletry kits for foster children and individuals in transition.”

Duffle Bags and More welcomes everyone who would like to help the cause. Meetings are held at 9 a.m., every third Monday of the month at the Villages of Five Points clubhouse in Lewes.
