Eagle's Nest Christian Academy students enjoy tea and history

February 26, 2014

Seventh-graders in Jessica Hague's world history class recently enjoyed a traditional English tea party. The class learned some English history while sipping tea and snacking on sweets. To prepare for the annual project, students must choose their favorite English man or woman, dress up as him or her, and research and present 10 interesting facts to their classmates from memory.

This year, three members of the House of Windsor stopped by: Princess Diana; her son Harry; and his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. Queen Elizabeth I, Shakespeare, Sherlock Holmes, and even Simon Cowell made an appearance as well as a few British athletes and entertainers. It was a jolly good time, indeed!
