Edna Mae ‘Skip’ Wood, Beebe dietary dept. retiree

Edna Mae “Skip” Wood, 89, of Georgetown passed away peacefully at home Thursday, Feb. 11, 2021. Edna was born in Parkesburg, Pa., daughter of the late Stanley R. and Margaret H. (Taylor) Mulvaney.

Many years ago, Edna, along with her late husband Elmer, together owned and operated a local body shop.  Edna also worked for many years in the dietary department at Beebe Healthcare.

In addition to her parents, Edna Mae is preceded in death by her loving husband, Elmer C. Wood Sr., (1996); a son, Elmer C. Wood Jr., (1978); a sister, Myrtle E. Hall; a brother, Lewis L. Taylor; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her great-granddaughter and caretaker, Maria Hudson and her husband Derrick; great-great-grandchildren, Aiden Hudson, Liam Hudson, Erin Brewington and Arya Brewington.  She is also survived by an additional two grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The family also extends a heartfelt thank you to Visiting Angels, especially caretaker Belinda Paellam, for all of their loving kindness and care of Edna for the past two years so she could remain at home.

Services and Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are welcome to the charity of your choice.
