On Saturday, May 13, I am supporting Wendell Alfred as a director of the Lewes Board of Public Works.
Wendell is an active member of our community. He is a long-serving volunteer with the Beebe Auxiliary, a board member of the AARP Delaware Executive Council and parishioner/volunteer at St. Peter’s Church.
Wendell also has extensive prior experience as a director of the Board of Public Works, serving for 17 years, the last seven as the board president.
Wendell supports long-term planning, finding comprehensive solutions to protect our environment, maintaining affordable rates for customers, fostering good working relationships with city council, and continued working with federal, state and county governments for help in securing grants and other forms of assistance that will benefit the BPW and its customers.
Wendell also will work to ensure that the BPW operates in accordance with sound utility practices applied in a fair, consistent and nondiscriminatory manner.
These are issues that are important to me, and Wendell supports them. Please join with me in electing Wendell to the BPW Saturday, May 13.
