Elizabeth B. Sargent, deeply loved, missed

Elizabeth “Betty” B. Sargent, 77, of Rehoboth Beach passed away Friday, Nov. 30, 2018, at Brandywine Senior Living, from complications related to Alzheimer’s. She had been diagnosed with the disease eight years ago.

She was born in Miami, Fla. and, as the daughter of a naval officer, had lived in Florida, New Jersey, Hawaii, Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C., as well as Naples, Italy. She graduated as an economics major from Lake Erie College in Painesville, Ohio.

Betty is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Bill Sargent; her son Richard Sargent of McLean, Va., her son Peter Sargent of Newtown, Pa., and her daughter Mary Randolph “Randy” Neppl of McLean, and her eight grandchildren.

A graveside service for family and friends is to be held Saturday, Dec. 15, at 11 a.m., at Epworth Methodist Cemetery, Henlopen Avenue, Rehoboth Beach. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Lewes.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, 108 North Bedford St., Georgetown, DE 19947.
