Elks pay visit to Stockley Center residents
Stockley Center residents and staff recently welcomed visitors from Cape Henlopen Elks Lodge 2540 FOR a fun-filled afternoon of adorning hats adorned with daisy flower decorations.
Elks volunteers in attendance were Nancy Bush, Karen McCullough, Carol DePalma, Kathy Gillin, Kathy Byrne and Barb Gilsenan, community outreach chair.
Located in Georgetown, the center is a residential facility for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. IT provides both intermediate and skilled nursing care for individuals with a variety of medical needs, as well as assisting residents to meet their physical, mental, personal and social goals.
The Elks community outreach committee members have developed close relationships with center residents and staff.
