Enjoying the beauty of Letchworth State Park with the Gazette

In September, Paul and Anne Capriolo of Governors traveled to upstate New York. They stayed at the Glen Iris Inn which is nestled in the heart of Letchworth State Park and overlooks the beautiful falls. Letchworth State Park is 14,427 acres along the Genesee River. Within the park, the river roars over three major waterfalls, one of which is 107 feet high. The rock walls of the gorge, which rise up to 550 feet in places, prompted the area's reputation as the Grand Canyon of the East.
