Ensemble to celebrate music inspired by multiple faith traditions Feb. 22

Groome Church, Seaside Jewish Community partner with Lewes library for free concert
February 6, 2026

The Yuval Ron Ensemble will perform a Concert for Unity and Resilience at 7 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 22, at Lewes Public Library, 111 Adams Ave., Lewes.

Yuval Ron, an Oscar-winning composer and world-music record producer, and his ensemble will explore the intercultural connections and historic influences shared among the musical traditions of Abrahamic faiths. The concert will feature songs and dances of Sufi origin from Turkey and Afghanistan; Jewish prayers from Morocco, Yemen and Israel; and early Christian Maronite and Armenian chants.

The free concert is sponsored by Groome Church, and hosted by Lewes Public Library and Seaside Jewish Community.

The Rev. Dr. S. Willard Crossan III, Groome Church pastor, said, “When our friends at Seaside reached out to us last summer about presenting the Yuval Ron Ensemble to the Lewes community, we welcomed the opportunity and are pleased to sponsor this important concert. We are also very appreciative our wonderful Lewes library is hosting the evening. Now more than ever seems like the perfect time for the faith community and the greater Lewes community in general to come together to celebrate diversity and inclusion, and encourage more interfaith collaborations and communication.”

Registration is required. Each individual attending must register to reserve a seat. For registration help, contact the Lewes Public Library at 302-645-2733. Walk-ins are welcome as space allows.
