Epworth requests support for letter carrier food drive

May 3, 2019

Hunger is a reality in our community - yes, even in this resort area. The Food Pantry at Epworth United Methodist Church relies on the annual National Association of Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger food drive to help fill our shelves with nonperishable food donations for many weeks.

In a typical year, approximately 1,800 households or individuals obtain nutritious food items at no cost to them through our pantry, which is administered through Epworth’s Good Samaritans program.

The annual Letter Carriers; drive will be held Saturday, May 11. If your letter carrier is participating, please contribute food items for him or her to collect that day. Our pantry is one of several recipients of food donations to Stamp Out Hunger in the Rehoboth Beach area.

Thank you for supporting the Stamp Out Hunger drive and helping our neighbors in need!
