Farm Bill safety net information session set Dec. 3
Agricultural producers can now enroll in the agriculture risk coverage and price loss coverage safety net programs for the 2019 and 2020 crop years.
These U.S. Department of Agriculture safety net programs provide income support to help producers manage their ups and downs in revenues and prices.
The 2018 Farm Bill reauthorized and updated both programs, which are administered by Farm Service Agency.
Meetings will be held in each Delaware county, where experts will discuss important program details with producers so they can make informed decisions best suited to their farming operation. University of Delaware Cooperative Extension representatives will be on hand to demonstrate online Farm Bill Decision Aid tools. The Sussex County meeting will be held from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 3, at the University of Delaware Carvel Research and Education Center, 16483 County Seat Highway, Georgetown.
