Farmers market patrons can donate to CRC
The Community Resource Center Food Rescue Program has a booth at the Rehoboth Beach Farmers Market this summer, collecting donations of market foods and nonperishable items for homeless and low-income individuals and families.
Farmers market customers can buy fresh produce, bakery items, meat and fish to donate. Market vendors can also donate extra items at the end of the day. CRC is also accepting unopened packages of food and toiletries at its booth.
CRC volunteers collect and deliver all donations to the food rescue, which is located at 37510 Oyster House Road. Food is then distributed from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The Rehoboth Beach Farmers Market is open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesdays, through October in Grove Park near the Rehoboth Avenue roundabout. For more information, go to rbfarmersmarket.com or the market’s Facebook page for weekly updates.
