The Farm-to-Farm Connection Initiative will host a focus group discussion at 6 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 14, at Bridgeville Public Library, 600 S Cannon St., Bridgeville, for members of the farming and agricultural communities in Sussex County.
Several Delaware organizations have partnered to create this initiative to provide support for the state’s farmers and ag communities. Focus groups will be held to gather input and insights from these stakeholders to ensure this initiative will meet their needs.
Questions to be considered include: How do you prefer to connect with other farmers? What obstacles do you foresee for this peer support network? What challenges do you face where peer assistance would help? What kind of assistance would you most value from fellow farmers?
Answers may cover topics such as market access, sharing best practices and innovative solutions, equipment sharing, mentorship, labor exchange, real ways to reduce stress and more.
Space is limited, so registration is preferred; go to delawarelibraries.libcal.com/event/14928448. Refreshments will be provided.
Anyone who is unable to attend in person but would like to give their input may email Jamie at johara@rvohealth.com.
