Farulla renews service to Realtor professional standards group
For the fourth year, Coldwell Banker Premier Realtor Jason Farulla has been selected to serve on the Sussex County Association of Realtors Professional Standards Committee.
The National Association of Realtors adopted its Code of Ethics in 1913, making it one of the first ethical codes ever established by a business group. It serves to protect consumers and ensure that Realtors act in the best interests of their clients while cooperating with each other. The code outlines the standard of conduct expected of real estate professionals, with the goal of ensuring integrity, professionalism and fair treatment. Each local association of Realtors selects specially qualified and trained panelists like Farulla to form a professional standards committee that is responsible for enforcing the Code of Ethics on a regional level, and helping members settle disputes through arbitration and mediation.
Originally from Niagara Falls, N.Y., Farulla entered the real estate industry in 2002. He said he wants to do his part to give back to his board of Realtors, so he feels it's well worth the hard work involved in carrying out these industry leadership assignments, as he continues to personally learn and grow by serving in these roles. "My experiences have reinforced for me that the most important part of our job as agents is to have integrity and good, strong ethics. The Code of Ethics isn't just a set of rules; it’s a protection for everyone, and it's the foundation of trust in our industry,” said Farulla.
Julie Gritton, Farulla’s team leader at Coldwell Banker Premier in Lewes, said, “I’m incredibly proud of Jason and all he’s achieved. His passion and commitment to the industry inspire our entire team and play a key role in mentoring and developing outstanding agents.”
Farulla has also been accepted into the Delaware Association of Realtors Leadership Academy Class of 2026. One of only six real estate agents chosen for this honor, Farulla will engage in advanced professional development, collaborative learning and hands-on experiences designed to strengthen leadership across Delaware’s real estate community.
