Fat Vinny’s food truck returns to the road

After closing its Dewey Beach storefront, the family behind Fat Vinny’s food truck has returned to its mobile roots and is now accepting bookings for 2023.

Owner Vinny Manuele said his sons Vincent and Tony Manuele have taken over the business, operating a truck on Route 9 near Best’s Ace Hardware from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. The truck and a new trailer may be reserved for neighborhood events, birthday parties and other get-togethers, Manuele said.

At the Route 9 location, the Manueles are offering a lunch special comprising a cheesesteak, fries and soda for $15. The trailer will be at Schellville for the holidays starting Saturday, Nov. 19, Manuele said, and will offer new menu items including a fried shrimp platter, chicken tenders and daily specials.
