This Blue Grosbeak showed up recently near the lens of Jeff Kietzmann, and the image was submitted by his father-in-law Nick De Cerchio. A search on Audubon.org yields the following about the species: "[The Blue Grosbeak] has been expanding breeding range toward the north in recent decades. Surveys suggest that overall population is stable or even increasing slightly."
