Producers of Firefly Music Festival, set for Friday-Sunday, July 20-22, at the Woodlands at Dover Downs International Speedway, recently announced single-day passes are available.

Chicago-based Red Frog Productions announced single-day passes went on sale June 28, after the company said three-day wristbands sold out.

A complete schedule for the weekend was posted a couple weeks ago and is available on the festival’s website (fireflyfestival.com). The festival will offer four stages and a ton of bands.

Highlights of the weekend include Jack White, 9:30-11 p.m., Friday; Modest Mouse, 6:30 to 8 p.m., Saturday; The Killers, 9:30 to 11 p.m. Saturday; The Flaming Lips ,7:50 to 9:20 p.m., Sunday; and The Black Keys 9:30 to 11 p.m., Sunday. Delaware’s own Lower Case Blues will hit the stage at 11:25 a.m., Sunday.

Aside from the music, Red Frog Productions is aiming to make this experience unique. Attractions will include hot air balloon rides, an arcade and an interactive art gallery to keep concertgoers entertained.

Who else should represent beer in Delaware but Dogfish Head? The local craft brewery joined forces with the festival to present Firefly Ale, a pale ale.

Firefly is also offering free water refill stations at the festival. Bring your water bottle and stay hydrated all weekend. Forgot your bottle? That’s OK; pick up your Firefly-themed water bottle and have a souvenir that quenches your thirst.

And if all that wasn’t enough, the festival also just announced an after-party event featuring Passion Pit at the Rollins Center in Dover Downs Casino at 11:30 p.m., Saturday; separate charges apply.

From the artists, to the beer and the heady atmosphere Firefly promises quite a buzz.

Single day tickets are available via the website; Friday is $68, while Saturday and Sunday are priced at $88 each night.
