Five figure skaters compete in Virginia
Five Bay Country Figure Skating Club adult members competed at the Washington Figure Skating Club's annual New Years Invitational Feb. 16-17 in Woodbridge, Va.
Joanna Wilson of Dover won gold in dramatic entertainment, Jean Watson of Georgetown took gold in freestyle, Cindy Mullarkey of Milford earned a silver in dramatic entertainment, and Paul Moffett of Denton, Md., captured silver in light entertainment. Karen Moffett of Denton debuted her new dramatic entertainment program.
Karen Moffett and Paul Moffett will compete in the Eastern Adult Sectional Figure Skating Championships March 8-10 in Philadelphia.
Bay Country FSC's adult skaters are also training for next year's U.S. Figure Skating Adult Nationals to be hosted in 2020 by the University of Delaware.
