Food truck competition to benefit veterans programs April 3-4

February 10, 2020

Harvest Ridge Winery will host its annual food truck competition benefitting Disabled American Veterans Dover Chapter and Hero Hunts Foundation from 4 to 9 p.m., Friday, April 3, and 12 to 6 p.m., Saturday, April 4, at the vineyard at 447 Westville Road, Marydel.

Since its first competition six years ago, Harvest Ridge Winery has donated $76,000 to local veteran organizations. In 2019, more than 3,500 people attended. This year there will be 35 food trucks competing for the crown and helping raise money for the Hero Hunts Foundation and the Dover chapter of the Disabled American Veterans. With a range of food truck options including pizza, tacos, cupcakes, comfort food, ice cream and more, there is surely something for everyone. Attendees will be able to vote for their favorite fare in sweet and savory categories.

Guests can also enjoy glasses of Harvest Ridge Wine and Rebel Seed Cider, plus lawn games and live entertainment provided by Mike Hines & the Look. The event is family friendly with a kid zone featuring a bounce house and kids’ activities. Youth under age 18 are admitted free and do not need an event ticket.

General admission tickets are $15 per day; two-day passes are $20. Parking is free. Ticket prices include one free drink ticket and a souvenir glass. For more information, email tastingroom@harvestridgewinery.com.
