Fred Donald Olsen, had repair business

Fred Donald Olsen, 84, of Millsboro, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018, from glioblastoma.

Don was born in Statesville, N.C., Aug. 26, 1934, son of the late Fred Combs and Sadie (Lowtharp) Olsen.  He proudly served his country in the Army National Guard in Washington, D.C.

He began his career in pharmaceutical sales for The Upjohn Company.  He retired in 1991 as regional manager of the Kansas City office.  After retirement, he had a successful handyman repair business for 10 years.  He was also an avid golfer.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two stepchildren, Michael William Albright and Gay Albright Cole.  His is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Betty Ann (Howard) Olsen; a son, Donald L. Olsen and his wife Jennifer Dohl of Chicago, Ill.; a grandson, Michael Ulrich and his wife Shannon of Senoia, Ga.; great-grandchildren Joshua Ulrich, Chelsea Dolly and Kayden Ulrich; great-great-grandchildren Ava Ulrich, Brayden Zelanko and Brinley Davis; a brother-in-law, Gerald Howard and his wife Barbara of Rehoboth Beach; and uncle Charles Duvall and his wife Doris of Millsboro.

A celebration of his life will be held privately.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your charity of choice.
