Free hearing seminar and screenings set May 6 at Lewes library

April 30, 2026

Drs. Savhanna Paul and Marianna McHugh from HearingLife Hearing Center in Lewes will present “Your Hearing Health Matters,” at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 6,  at the Lewes Public Library, followed by free hearing screenings.

Hearing not only impacts the ability to communicate and connect with friends and family, but also has various impacts on health. What can cause hearing loss? What impacts can hearing loss have? Why do ears ring or buzz? Attendees will learn the answers to these questions, discover important information about causes and signs of hearing loss, and hear about the effects untreated hearing loss can have on a person.

“We look forward to sharing important information about hearing health with our community, including strategies to help support communication in challenging environments like restaurants,” said Paul.

“There will also be time for attendees to ask an audiologist any questions they may have,” McHugh said.

Following the seminar, hearing screenings will be offered from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration is required for both the seminar and screenings. Seminar attendance is recommended, but not required, to participate in the screenings. Visit the library website lewes.lib.de.us or call 302-645-2733 to sign up.
