As part of its Spotlight Series, the Freeman Arts Pavilion will present a performance by nationally recognized composer, arranger, pianist and arts activist Daniel Bowen at 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 13, at 31255 Americana Parkway, Selbyville.
Bowen will host “Transforming Communities Through the Power of Music,” a unique talk and performance experience blending inspiring storytelling, live music and community impact.
Founder of the creative arts nonprofit Symphony 21, Bowen has collaborated with Grammy- and Emmy-winning producers, scored for major networks and performed at national venues such as the Kennedy Center. This program invites audiences to imagine what’s possible when creativity meets purpose.
Freeman Arts Pavilion, a program of the Joshua M. Freeman Foundation that has a mission to provide arts access to all, has offered year-round programming through its arts education and community engagement programs, which primarily benefit school-aged children. The Spotlight Series invites individuals of all ages from the community at large to explore artistic interests, develop creative skills and forge connections with others.
Executive Director Patti Grimes said the series celebrates the transformative power of the arts and extends the organization’s reach beyond the classroom.
“The Spotlight Series is about creating meaningful connections through the arts,” she said. “By bringing together local artists, cultural organizations and our community, we’re able to offer experiences that inspire, educate and celebrate the diversity of creative expression in our region.”
