Garden center gallery features botanical soaps and skincare

May 3, 2023

During May, the Little Garden Gallery at Inland Bays Garden Center, 38320 Muddy Neck Road, Frankford, is featuring products made by Kerry Stewart, a nationally certified artisan soap and cosmetic formulator.

Stewart’s botanical soaps and skincare formulations are the culmination of a lifelong focus on personal care products that are clean, natural and minimal. She creates all her products in small batches in her Millsboro studio, with absolute attention to quality and purity. They are packaged in eco-friendly containers that can be reused, recycled or composted.

A beekeeper and organic gardener, Stewart utilizes and takes inspiration from the flowers, honey and herbs she cultivates. All her products are scented with 100% pure essential oils and colored with botanical infusions or earth clays.

“I infuse a variety of plants in olive oil for over two months to extract the pigments that color my soaps. I use annatto seed, turmeric, nettle leaf, parsley, Himalayan rhubarb, indigo, spirulina and alkanet root to give the soaps a natural, muted color,” said Stewart. “I am grateful to be able to share with my customers my passion for creating kinder, gentler products that look and smell the way nature intended them to.”

Stewart’s Mayflowers collection is an array of colored, scented soaps that celebrate the blooming season.
