Gay fights for what’s best for Rehoboth

August 2, 2019

We residents and homeowners of the City of Rehoboth Beach are certainly fortunate to live in a town where so many people care enough to step up to the plate when seats are vacant on our board of commissioners.

This year is no exception, with several highly qualified and dedicated individuals running for the two open seats. It is especially important this year, as those seats are vacant due to the well-deserved retirement of two excellent and tireless commissioners, Toni Sharp and Stan Mills.

Luckily for me, one candidate stands out among the contenders as extremely qualified and able to bring fresh ideas and enthusiasm to the board, that person being Susan Gay. I have had the opportunity to work with Susan on another board, and I have never seen anyone serve with such dedication and intelligent foresight. Susan attacks any situation head on, and she has the uncanny  ability to disagree without ever being disagreeable. She will quietly, or sometimes not so quietly, fight for what is right for our city and residents.

I ask all our voters to please consider Susan Gay on election day, Aug. 10.
