The December art exhibition at CAMP Rehoboth confirmed that when multiple generations come together to make art, something magical happens.
The act of creation gives a powerful voice to young and old alike, and builds a sense of shared community pride. Generations! combined the talents of emerging, established, young and young-at-heart artists by showcasing the work of Cape Henlopen High School student artists and artists who are 55 and older.
The artists’ reception Dec. 8 was well attended by student artists, their families, artists 55 and older, and community supporters. Student artist Angelica Kusen attended with her mom Brandi, who conveyed her thanks for the wonderful exhibition.
Artist Hal Nearing expressed appreciation for showcasing the young artists’ works that usually get overlooked, and Viva D’Anna loved seeing the ideas of younger people and older people come together.
Ellie Scoda said she was honored and flattered to make it into the show. Young-at-heart artist Bev Morgan provided her impression that talent and lovely art exceeds all ages.
CAMP Rehoboth hosts high-quality art exhibits in the CAMP Rehoboth Gallery at 37 Baltimore Ave. in Rehoboth Beach. For more information, go to www.CAMPRehoboth.com.
